From Coast to Coast, Telemundo’s ‘Tu Momento. Tu Jugada.’ Mobile Experience Tour Connects Communities Through Soccer

The multi-city tour celebrating FIFA World Cup 2026™ engaged thousands of young people and families with mentorship, clinics, and fan experiences that highlight the game’s impact beyond the field.

Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Telemundo launched Tu Momento. Tu Jugada., a sports impact initiative that harnessed the power of soccer to inspire leadership, teamwork, and opportunity for thousands of young people. Made possible through enterprise-wide collaboration across Comcast NBCUniversal and Telemundo, the initiative brought together mentorship, live events, and local partnerships to create meaningful experiences that helped youth build confidence, strengthen connections, and develop leadership skills. Telemundo’s initiative included a mobile experience tour, a community conversation series Café Golazo, a Spanish-language platform, ¡Sí, Coach!, and much more to further unite soccer communities nationwide. 

Through Tu Momento. Tu Jugada., Telemundo hosted community festivals, fan activations, and interactive experiences featuring network talent and the iconic “¡GOOOOL!” call. Additionally, in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Federation's Soccer Forward Foundation, Comcast NBCUniversal also awarded $600,000 in Vamos World Cup Soccer Forward Initiative grants to 17 nonprofits that use soccer to expand opportunity, cultivate leadership, and strengthen communities. 

As the initiative's signature community engagement platform, the Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. mobile experience tour brought the momentum of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ directly to communities across the country. Over the course of eight stops across the country, the tour engaged thousands of youth, families, and community members through soccer clinics, mentorship opportunities, cultural celebrations, and fan experiences. The mobile experience tour brought together nonprofits, professional clubs, civic leaders, youth organizations, and community partners in markets nationwide. 

As the exclusive Spanish-language home of FIFA World Cup 2026™, Telemundo extended the tournament’s impact beyond the pitch, using soccer as a catalyst to invest in youth development, strengthen communities, and create meaningful opportunities across the United States with the support of Comcast NBCUniversal. 

Bay Area kickoff

To kick off their mobile experience, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. arrived in the San Francisco Bay Area on December 11, at the Santa Clara Youth Soccer Park next to Levi’s Stadium. Bringing energy to the stadium set to host 2026 World Cup matches enlivened the crowd of over 600 students and community members, who enjoyed speaking, programming, ribbon-cutting, and a mariachi performance. The San Jose Earthquakes Soccer, Oakland Roots Sports Club, and Oakland Soul Sports Club all participated, providing soccer clinics and mentorship sessions, and encouraging the next generation to dream bigger, play harder, and lift their community. The opening ceremony for this mobile experience brought the heat, lighting a spark in the San Francisco Bay Area community and setting the bar high for the subsequent tour stops.

Los Angeles

The second stop of the tour brought the mobile experience to the LAB FIVE Gardena facility in Los Angeles on December 13, aligning with the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Unity Cup. Sustaining the momentum from the Bay, the LA experience saw over 400 youth participants engaging in a day full of pick-up games, skill demos, cultural programming, and partner activations, transforming empty lots into “fields full of possibilities.” The Los Angeles stop on the tour underscored the nation’s excitement as the city prepared to welcome teams from across the globe to SoFi Stadium. 

Dallas

Continuing its nationwide momentum, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. came to life in Dallas, engaging more than 200 youth and their families at Toyota Stadium through an afternoon of play, mentorship, and community connection. In partnership with FC Dallas, participants took part in soccer clinics, mentorship moments, and interactive experiences, including mini pitches and skill drills designed to support both athletic and personal growth, creating a shared experience for families and young players in a professional stadium setting. That excitement was carried into the stadium during the FC Dallas match, where Telemundo 39 KXTX presented Soccer Forward Foundation grants and framed Tu Momento.Tu Jugada. jerseys at halftime to local organizations expanding access to sport and creating real pathways for youth.

Houston

Next, the mobile experience made a stop in nearby Houston, bringing the excitement and energy to Traders Village. Here, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. engaged a record-breaking crowd of roughly 12,000 locals and families. On April 12, community members were treated to interactive experiences that fostered a sense of celebration, pride, and connection. The Mayor of Houston proclaimed it “Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. Day” and recognized Telemundo Houston as the “Official Home of Fútbol.” The fanfare didn’t stop there, with the presentation of Vamos World Cup grants to local organizations advancing youth and community development through sport and elevating the neighborhoods of the greater Dallas area.  

Miami

Celebrating 30 days out from the World Cup, Miami saw unique celebrations during their stop on the tour at Homestead SoccerLand Park for the Unity Cup. The U.S. Soccer Foundation, Adidas, The Children's Trust, and Griffin Catalyst in collaboration with Miami SCORES Powered by Concacaf, Comcast, and Telemundo 51 turned the Just Ball spring season into a celebration of youth, teamwork, and community through soccer.  

Philadelphia

Festivities continued in Philadelphia, Comcast’s headquarters, on May 17 and 18. With a Safe-Hub soccer clinic and grant presentations to Safe-Hub Philadelphia and the JT Dorsey Foundation through the Vamos World Cup Soccer Forward Grant Initiative, Telemundo continued to emphasize investment in youth opportunity at ACME Market. Bringing together Telemundo Network, NBC10 Philadelphia, NBC Sports Philadelphia, ACME Markets, Rumba 106.1, Safe-Hub Philadelphia, JT Dorsey Foundation, and Global United FC, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. facilitated a day of celebrations with programming and interactive experiences that engaged families from all over the greater Philadelphia area. 

Washington D.C.

For the Washington D.C. stop on June 3, the Telemundo 44 crew, elected officials, community leaders, and soccer fans joined the Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. event at Audi Field, highlighting the network’s dedication to strengthening communities across the D.C. region and the unifying power of soccer. The Washington D.C. stop aligned with the 2026 Congressional Soccer Match, bringing the World Cup excitement and fanfare to the capital with a Telemundo Mini Pitch, broadcast booth, player trading cards, local grants engagement, a soccer hall of fame photo opportunity, soccer drills, and various company and community partners. 

New York

As the final stop on the tour, New York represented more than the conclusion of a nationwide journey – it reflected the lasting community impact Telemundo set out to create.  

Telemundo 47, New York’s flagship Spanish-language station, along with community leaders, nonprofit partners, youth organizations, elected officials, and special guests brought the fanfare to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, one of the premier fan destinations of FIFA World Cup 2026™ on June 18. The day featured custom activations, special programming, and talent appearances. With the World Cup at its halfway point, excitement levels in New York City were at an all-time high with fans from across the world traveling in to join the celebrations. 

The tour marked its final stop at the Telemundo Fan Village at Rockefeller Center on July 10. The celebration featured an exciting banner-breaking moment as young players from DV7 Group took to the pitch. Telemundo partnered with the Hispanic Federation and receive a proclamation from the New York City Council, recognizing the impact of Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. and its commitment to inspiring the next generation through the power of soccer. 

Through music, food, fan experiences, and most importantly a shared love of soccer, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. brought together communities on its final leg of the mobile tour in the heart of New York.

From coast to coast, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. demonstrated how the excitement surrounding FIFA World Cup 2026™ can bring communities together through mentorship, youth engagement, and shared experiences rooted in the power of sport. 

Through a nationwide series of events, partnerships, and community investments, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. brought together teams across Comcast NBCUniversal and Telemundo to expand opportunity and strengthen communities. 

By connecting the energy of the FIFA World Cup with communities nationwide, the initiative helped create meaningful opportunities for young people, strengthen partnerships with local organizations, and build a legacy that will endure long after the final whistle.
