'Tu Momento. Tu Jugada.' Celebrates Community Organizations Expanding Access to Youth Sports in Los Angeles
June 30, 2026
As part of Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. – Telemundo’s nationwide initiative under El Poder En Ti – Comcast NBCUniversal and Telemundo are spotlighting the transformative power of sports through a series of Spanish-language public service announcements highlighting Los Angeles–based organizations expanding access to youth athletics.
These stories showcase how local leaders are creating opportunities for young people to participate, grow, and thrive through sport – building confidence, teamwork and leadership skills that extend beyond the field. The effort is part of a broader storytelling platform leading into Telemundo’s Spanish-language coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
The featured organizations are also part of the 26 Community Champions, a group of nonprofits selected by the Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee and the Play Equity Fund, recognized for using soccer to empower and uplift communities across the region.
The PSAs were brought to life by young creatives from Venice Arts and Kids In The Spotlight, reflecting NBCUniversal’s ongoing commitment to developing the next generation of storytellers through its award-winning Creative Impact Lab initiative.
A Shared Goal: Breaking Barriers and Expanding Opportunities
The creative pieces spotlight three Los Angeles–based nonprofits:
AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization): AYSO is a volunteer driven youth soccer organization built on six core philosophies: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development. These values create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can grow through sport.
Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN) Los Angeles: KEEN LA marks its 15th anniversary in 2026, celebrating dedicated service to youth with disabilities in East Los Angeles through weekly programs. KEEN LA is committed to inclusion, ensuring that no child is ever denied participation because of financial limitations or the nature of their disability.
Los Angeles City College (LACC) Soccer: The Los Angeles City College Foundation fuels student success by providing scholarships and vital resources that remove barriers and expand opportunity. By investing in LACC students, we help create pathways to graduation, careers, and long-term economic mobility, on and off the field.
The PSAs aired on Telemundo 52 ahead of the Spanish-language coverage on Telemundo and Peacock of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
