Comcast NBCUniversal employees volunteered in cities and venues nationwide, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, East Rutherford (NJ), Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Portland, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.

Uniting Through Service and Sports
Several of Comcast NBCUniversal’s sports partners joined NBCU employees in service. In the New York tri-state area, NBCUniversal employees packed meals at MetLife Stadium and participated in separate events at the Intrepid Museum alongside NBA and NFL volunteers. At Citi Field, employees worked with MLB volunteers to support the nationwide effort.
The Intrepid Museum event where NBCU employees served side by side with NFL volunteers was spotlighted during that week’s Sunday Night Football coverage, extending the reach and impact of the day by utilizing the company’s platforms.

The service effort also provided an opportunity for young creators to gain on-the-ground production experience. Apprentices from Reel Works, a frequent nonprofit agency partner of NBCUniversal’s Creative Impact Lab, documented the events of the day, capturing footage and testimonials from volunteers at the Intrepid Museum event.
Through this opportunity, the creators gained portfolio-building experience, growing their industry-relevant skills and furthering their exposure to career pathways in content creation, production, marketing and communications.
