NBCUniversal United Kingdom Internship Programme 2027: Your Application Guide

NBCUniversal's United Kingdom (UK) Internship Programme will welcome its new cohort in 2027. Before applying, here’s what to know about the programme and what to expect at each step of the application process.  

What the UK Internship Programme offers 

The programme offers more than 90 internship opportunities each year across 50 different positions and business areas. 

Each placement is a 12-month internship running from July to July, giving participants a full year of real-world experience at one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. 

Beyond their day-to-day roles, interns take part in projects and networking opportunities designed to broaden their experience and exposure across the business. 

All internships are based in Central London, with positions spanning marketing, finance, legal, technology, operations, strategy, data analytics, scripted development, acquisitions, post production, and more. 

What we look for in UK Internship Programme applicants  

The programme looks for driven, curious individuals eager to learn about media and entertainment.  Strong candidates combine a passion for the industry with experience gained through coursework, part-time jobs, extracurricular activities, societies, or sports clubs.  

UK interns demonstrate initiative and a growth mindset, act on feedback and seek out opportunities to develop new skills. When applications open, be sure to read each job description for full details and requirements. 

Eligibility 

To join one of the 12-month internships, applicants must meet one of the following criteria: 

• You’re currently an undergraduate studying at university and returning to full-time education in Autumn 2028. 

• You’re looking to gain work experience after completing A-Levels, an equivalent course, or an apprenticeship. 

All applicants must also: 

• Be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship, from Monday 5 July 2027 through Friday 21 July 2028.  

• Be able to work in NBCUniversal's Central London office on-site four days per week. Please note that some roles require on-site attendance five days per week, so be sure to review the job descriptions carefully.

What to expect from the UK Internship Programme recruiting process 

We want candidates to know what to expect at every stage of the process. Here’s what you can expect:  

Step 1: Online application.  

This is your chance to make a strong first impression. Use the application to show your interests, goals, and what you would bring to the internship. Highlight past jobs, relevant coursework, extracurricular involvement, and any experience that speaks to your skills and potential.  

A cover letter is strongly recommended. Use it to share what excites you about the opportunity and connect your experience to the role. This helps recruiters better understand your interests and goals.  

Step 2: Video interview.  

If you advance to the next stage, you’ll be asked to complete a recorded interview consisting of three questions. Treat it as you would any other interview and show up prepared and professional. We’re especially interested in hearing what drives your interest in the company and the role. 

Prepare ahead of time, but don't read from a script. Every CV, cover letter, and video interview is personally reviewed by our recruiting team, so let your personality come through. 

Step 3: Online presentation and interview.  

Finalists will participate in a virtual interview and deliver a pre-prepared presentation to hiring managers. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills, experiences and unique perspective.

• Using AI to polish your resume or prep for an interview? Go for it. Using it to learn more about NBCUniversal or the team you’re excited about? Absolutely. But during interviews, your responses need to be your own. Misrepresenting your experience, whether through a person or a tool, can lead to disqualification. We want to meet the real you.
