“Love Island USA” has launched as the No. 1 series across streaming during the first two weeks of its eighth season, according to Nielsen. Per Nielsen preliminary minutes viewed data, the series generated a combined 2.3 billion minutes viewed for the weeks of June 1 and June 8, representing a 50% increase from the first two weeks of season 7. Nielsen data for the week of June 8 is currently understated, with the total expected to grow.

Beyond Nielsen measurement, which predominantly captures viewership on television screens, Peacock first-party data reveals that 26% of engagement for season 8 has come from phones and tablets.

The audience composition for season 8 includes 27% new viewers to the series, reinforcing the franchise’s growing presence in popular culture.

Season to date, “Love Island USA” season 8 has generated more than 1 billion video views across social channels and ranks as the No. 1 most social series program since its launch.

The newly revamped companion series “Aftersun,” hosted by Ciara Miller (“Summer House”) and Tefi Pessoa (media personality), has more than doubled last year’s audience, growing 144% compared with season 7 “Aftersun” episodes.

Additionally, the “Love Island USA” app recorded a 175% increase in unique users for the season 8 premiere compared with season 7. During the second vote of season 8, the number of votes cast increased by more than 77% versus the second vote of season 7.

Hosted by Ariana Madix and narrated by comedian Iain Stirling, “Love Island USA” season 8 streams exclusively on Peacock, with new episodes dropping daily at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, except Wednesdays. Peacock’s companion series “Aftersun,” hosted by Ciara Miller and Tefi Pessoa, airs every Saturday at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET.

This year, “Aftersun” features an all-new format, including exclusive never-before-seen footage and Islanders’ reactions as they re-enter the world, regain access to their phones, see fan opinions and reconnect with loved ones. The series also includes in-depth interviews with departing Islanders and introductions to incoming bombshells before they enter the villa.
