In one of the most highly-anticipated games of the college football season, the No. 1-ranked Miami Hurricanes (8-0) visit the Associated Press No. 4 and College Football Playoff No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-1) in a historic rivalry matchup featuring multiple Heisman Trophy candidates this Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. Special expanded NBC Sports pregame College Countdown coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on Peacock, continuing at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

Also in primetime, the Michigan Wolverines host in-state rivals Michigan State Spartans in the Paul Bunyan Trophy Game this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN.

Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock: No. 1 Miami at No. 4/No. 11 Notre Dame

For the first time since 2016, the Miami Hurricanes, ranked No. 1 in the nation and featuring Heisman Trophy hopefuls Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney, travel to Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind., to face the No. 4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and their Heisman candidate CJ Carr this Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. ET. This is the first time Notre Dame has faced a No. 1-ranked opponent on NBC since Clemson in 2020. Special expanded pregame College Countdown coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on Peacock, continuing at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock

The Notre Dame-Miami rivalry is famous for its late 1980s contests in which both schools, led by legendary coaches Lou Holtz (Notre Dame) and Jimmy Johnson (Miami), were national championship contenders and frequently played each other. The rivalry intensified during the 1988 season, in which No. 4 Notre Dame upset No. 1 Miami, 31-30, in South Bend. The Fighting Irish would go on to win their remaining five games that season and defeat No. 3 West Virginia in the Fiesta Bowl to earn their 11th, and most recent, national championship. The following year, Miami got its revenge, defeating No. 1 Notre Dame 27-10 on their way to winning the national championship. But in 1990, the Fighting Irish defeated the No. 2 Hurricanes, 29-20, which closed out the series for two decades. The Fighting Irish lead the all-time series, 18-9-1.

Most recently, the two programs met in last season’s opener at Miami, which saw the Hurricanes narrowly win, 27-24. Miami ultimately advanced to the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship, where they fell to No. 1 Indiana, 27-21, while Notre Dame controversially failed to make the playoff despite a 10-2 record.

Miami is coming off a 38-35 win over North Carolina on Saturday that saw QB Darian Mensah throw for 274 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to star WR Malachi Toney. Mensah ranks first in the country in passing efficiency (202.7) and is tied for the lead in passing touchdowns (25) and first in the ACC and eighth in the country in passing yards (2,425). Toney ranks third in the nation in receiving yards (1,027) and is tied for second in receiving touchdowns (13). Mensah or Toney could become the first Miami Hurricanes player to win the Heisman Trophy since QB Gino Torretta in 1992, while Toney could become first Miami wide receiver to ever win. The Hurricanes boast a strong lineage at the position, with Pro Football Hall of Famers Michael Irvin and Andre Johnson and Super Bowl champion Reggie Wayne all donning the green and orange.

Notre Dame defeated Navy, 35-13, on Saturday. CJ Carr led the Fighting Irish with 210 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Nolan James Jr. had a team-high 107 rushing yards and a pair of scores. Jerome Bettis Jr. – son of Notre Dame legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis – had his first career touchdown in the win, a 31-yard pass from Carr in the fourth quarter. The Fighting Irish defense continues to stifle its opponents, ranking first in the country in yards allowed per game (236.3) and tied for fifth in points allowed per game (13.4).

Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst), and Kathryn Tappen and Caroline Pineda (sideline reporters) will call Miami-Notre Dame from Notre Dame Stadium. Terry McAulay will serve as rules analyst.

Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN: Michigan State at Michigan

One of college football’s storied in-state rivalries, Michigan (5-3) hosts Michigan State (2-6) at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor in the Paul Bunyan Trophy Game this Saturday. The rivalry dates to 1898, with the Wolverines winning each of the past four meetings, including a 31-20 victory in East Lansing last season.

Michigan returns home following a 28-21 road win over Rutgers. Tommy Carr led the Wolverines with three touchdowns, throwing for 266 yards and a score while rushing for two touchdowns. Michigan State returns from a bye week seeking to reclaim the Paul Bunyan Trophy and earn its first Big Ten victory of the season. Saturday will also mark the first Michigan-Michigan State rivalry game for both head coaches, Kyle Whittingham and Pat Fitzgerald.

Paul Burmeister (play-by-play), Yogi Roth (analyst), and Lewis Johnson (sideline reporter) will call Michigan State-Michigan from Michigan Stadium. Reggie Smith will serve as rules analyst.
