Peacock's newest original series, Crystal Lake, is off to a strong start, becoming the streaming platform's fourth-biggest scripted original series debut to date and generating 1.3 billion minutes viewed in its first 11 days.

The Friday the 13th prequel, which premiered October 15, also ranked No. 3 among streaming original series and No. 3 among first-season series during the week of October 19, according to Nielsen.

The series' debut generated significant social media attention, with 1.8 billion earned impressions in its first 24 hours and more than 7.6 million social video views over its first 11 days.

Building on Peacock's Success in Original Scripted Programming

Crystal Lake joins a growing lineup of successful Peacock originals, including All Her Fault and The Five Star Weekend, two scripted series ahead of it in Peacock's all-time viewership rankings.

The success of these series reflects the breadth of Peacock's original programming, spanning dramas, thrillers, literary adaptations and established entertainment franchises.

Among the platform's recent successes, The Five Star Weekend, starring Jennifer Garner and based on Elin Hilderbrand's bestselling novel, became Peacock's most-watched scripted series in overall reach and was renewed for a second season.

Together, these titles highlight Peacock's continued investment in original storytelling and its ability to connect audiences with a diverse range of programming.

Bringing an Iconic Horror Franchise to a New Generation

Produced by A24 and created by Brad Caleb Kane, Crystal Lake expands the world of the iconic Friday the 13th franchise with a new story centered on Pam Voorhees, played by Linda Cardellini.

The series follows Pam as she grapples with the loss of her son Jason, exploring the events that precede the original film.

The eight-episode series builds on the enduring recognition of Friday the 13th, bringing an established horror franchise to streaming audiences through a new original production.

The series also adds to Peacock's horror programming, complementing NBCUniversal's longstanding history in the genre across film, television and immersive experiences.

All eight episodes of Crystal Lake are now streaming exclusively on Peacock.
