NBCUniversal's long-term investment in Telemundo Center supports jobs, production infrastructure and large-scale live event coverage from South Florida.

Telemundo Center

July 16, 2026

As the FIFA World Cup™ 2026 returned to North America for the first time in more than 30 years, Telemundo brought all 104 matches across 16 host cities to millions of viewers in Spanish, delivering more than 700 hours of coverage across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms. Behind that unprecedented effort is Telemundo Center, where NBCUniversal’s long-term investment in world-class production infrastructure is helping support jobs, innovation, and one of the largest live sports productions in history.

A world-class production center in South Florida

Telemundo Center in Miami serves as the backbone of NBCUniversal’s Spanish-language content. For World Cup 2026™, the facility is the central engine behind the network’s coverage, connecting teams on the ground across all host cities with audiences nationwide in real time. The operation reflects the strength of the production infrastructure and talent base NBCUniversal has helped build in South Florida.

Telemundo Center marks one of the most significant investments in South Florida broadcast history. Since opening in 2018, Telemundo Center has become one of the country's largest purpose-built Spanish-language media production facilities. Spanning more than 500,000 square feet across a 21-acre campus, the facility includes 13 studios, 48 open-edit workstations and seven control rooms. The Center is designed to produce news, sports, entertainment and digital content under one roof.  More than 1,300 employees work at Telemundo Center across corporate, creative, production and technical roles, producing and delivering more than 3,000 hours of content annually.

On the ground in all 16 host cities

While Telemundo Center serves as the command center for FIFA World Cup 2026™, the network’s coverage extends across all 16 host cities, creating a nationwide production operation that brings together journalists, commentators, producers, engineers and technical teams from coast to coast.

From stadiums and training grounds to fan festivals and community celebrations, Telemundo has deployed personnel throughout the tournament to deliver live match coverage, reporting, analysis and digital content to audiences across the country. The effort requires extensive coordination between teams in the field and production professionals based in Miami, where Telemundo Center connects and supports operations in real time.

The scale of the operation also generates significant economic activity. Telemundo’s coverage supports a network of local vendors, production crews, technical specialists, transportation providers, hospitality partners and event support personnel working in host cities nationwide. By combining resources on the ground with the capabilities of Telemundo Center, NBCUniversal is showcasing communities across the United States while supporting the local businesses and workforce needed to deliver one of the world’s largest sporting events.

Connecting communities through the game

Beyond the broadcast, Telemundo extended its impact through Tu Momento. Tu Jugada., a nationwide initiative designed to bring communities together through the shared passion of soccer.

Through live events, immersive experiences, mentorship, and the unifying power of sport, the initiative creates opportunities for youth, strengthens local sports programs, and supports entrepreneurs. It has already engaged tens of thousands of participants across key markets, bringing fans together while reflecting the cultural importance of the sport.

A lasting investment

From its headquarters in Miami to all 16 host cities, Telemundo is bringing together innovation, production capabilities and Spanish-language expertise to deliver the historic FIFA World Cup 2026™ in Spanish.

The tournament demonstrates how long-term investments in facilities, technology and local talent continue to position South Florida as a hub for world-class media production while creating lasting economic and creative impact well beyond the final whistle.
