Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey Reaches $1.677 Billion At The Global Box Office To Become Universal Pictures’ Biggest Film Of All Time

Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of the 3000-year-old poem, The Odyssey, has surpassed Jurassic World to become the Studio’s biggest film of all time.

Universal Pictures today announced that Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of the 3000-year-old poem, The Odyssey, has surpassed $1.677 billion at the global box office, passing 2015’s Jurassic World to become the Studio’s biggest film of all time. This weekend, The Odyssey will gross $601.2 million domestic, $1.083 billion international and $1.685 billion globally. It is now the 12th highest-grossing film ever and the third-biggest non-franchise title of all time.

Defying conventional box office trends at every turn, The Odyssey experienced a 6.33 multiple at the global box office and returned to the No. 1 position globally in its eighth weekend, dropping only 9% domestically.
