Universal Television Entertainment delivered a standout quarter marked by 20 Emmy® Award wins, No. 1 network status for NBC and record-breaking performances across Peacock and third-party platforms. From broadcast milestones to global streaming hits, the division continues to showcase the reach and impact of a content portfolio built for scale.

The standout quarter included: 

NBCUniversal Earned 20 Emmy Awards 

NBCUniversal earned 20 Emmy Awards in September, including Outstanding Variety Special for SNL50: The Anniversary Special (extending SNL's record to 113 wins), Outstanding Reality Competition Program for The Traitors (the most Emmy-awarded unscripted show this season) and three wins across all female performer categories for Universal Television's Hacks.

NBC was the No. 1 broadcast network for the first two weeks of the 2025-26 television season 

After coming off a summer that NBC won for the 11th consecutive time, NBC was the No. 1 broadcast network for the first two weeks of the 2025-26 television season in total viewers for both entertainment-only programming and all programming. This marks NBC's seventh consecutive year winning the first official week of the season in total viewers and the 14th straight time in the demo.

NBC was the only broadcast network to grow year-over-year during week one of the season. Several shows have also seen year-over-year growth on Peacock.
  • Across all platforms (7-day), Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU amassed 6 million and 7.6 million viewers, respectively, both showing an increase over last season's premieres.
  • Chicago Med (up 21%), Chicago Fire (up 13%) and Chicago P.D. (up 11%) were year-over-year in their respective season premieres on Peacock. Chicago Med marked a major milestone this October with its 200th episode celebration.
  • Sunday Night Football was the No. 1 show of the first week and the network delivered five of the Top 10 shows.

Peacock's The Paper was the No. 1 original comedy across all streaming in total minutes viewed in its first week 

Peacock's The Paper was the No. 1 original comedy across all streaming in total minutes viewed (339 million) in its first week. The Paper will become the first Peacock original to receive a full second run on NBC this November.
During its first three weeks on Peacock, season two of Love Island Games surpassed 1 billion minutes streamed, up 124% from the first season. The series ranks as the No. 2 streaming reality title for its first two weeks. This season of Love Island Games boasted 560 million social impressions across Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube, ranking as the No. 2 most-social series across streaming since its premiere.
Next Gen NYC is Bravo's No. 1 most-watched series and season premiere of all time across platforms, delivering the No. 1 most-watched Bravo episode of all time on Peacock.
Bravo dominated the unscripted space with 6 of the top 10 cable reality shows – more than any other network – led by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at No. 1. 

The Gilded Age finished its season as the No. 1 title on HBO Max in the U.S. 

The season three finale of Universal Television’s The Gilded Age hit a series high with 5 million cross-platform viewers on HBO. The series finished its season as the No. 1 title on HBO Max in the U.S. and 40 additional markets worldwide.
Also from Universal Television, We Were Liars ranked as the No. 1 series globally on Prime Video for July 2025, outpacing all platform originals.
Universal Television Alternative Studio's Death Row Confidential: Secrets of a Series Killer was Oxygen's No. 1 series premiere in total viewers 2025-to-date.
