NBCUniversal Brings Iconic Shows and Films to Life at The Paley Center for Media

From "The Office" to "How to Train Your Dragon", NBCUniversal and The Paley Center have transformed milestone celebrations into engaging experiences for fans.

For decades, NBCUniversal has taken its most beloved shows and films offscreen and into immersive, real-world experiences. Through the Paley Center for Media, NBCU has celebrated milestone moments with interactive exhibits, panels, and family-friendly activations. In 2025, fans explored the world ofThe Office during its 20th anniversary, and enjoyed hands-on experiences inspired by Gabby's Dollhouse and How to Train Your Dragon. These curated events combine original props, costumes, and behind-the-scenes insights with photo-ready installations - transforming timeless stories into unforgettable moments. 

Located in New York City, the Paley Center for Media is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that celebrates the culture, creativity, and social impact of television, radio, and emerging media platforms. 

Celebrating the Ultimate Workplace Comedy: From The Office to The Paper 

Universal Television partnered with The Paley Center for a special event celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Office and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at The Paper, the highly anticipated new Peacock series set in the same universe as The Office. The evening included a screening of classic episodes, a sneak peek of the new series, and a panel discussion. Talent from both series were in attendance, including: Oscar Nuñez ("Oscar Martinez," The Office and The Paper), Alex Edelman ("Adam Cooper," Consulting Producer/Writer, The Paper), Chelsea Frei ("Mare Pritti," The Paper), Eric Rahill ("Travis Bienlien," Writer, The Paper), Paul Lieberstein ("Toby Flenderson," The Office; EP/Writer/Director, The Office; Consulting Producer/Writer/Director, The Paper), and Jennifer Celotta (EP/Writer, The Office; Director, The Paper). Fans were able to explore a one-of-a-kind exhibit featuring authentic props, costumes and set pieces from The Office that honored the legacy of the beloved workplace comedy.

Gabby's Dollhouse at Paley Family Day

The Paley Center for Media hosted a family-friendly event featuring Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie, the hit DreamWorks film that released this fall. Visitors were able to enjoy interactive activities inspired by the show, including themed arts and crafts, photo opportunities, and screenings of favorite episodes. Designed for young fans and families, the experience brought Gabby's colorful world to life, offering an engaging and playful environment that celebrates creativity and imagination.

How To Train Your Dragon Family Day

The Paley Center for Media invited families to celebrate DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon franchise with an interactive event featuring themed activities, photo opportunities, and screenings of fan-favorite episodes and films. Guests were able to explore the magical world of Vikings and dragons through creative crafts and hands-on experiences designed to spark imagination and adventure for fans of all ages.  

PaleyFest LA

During PaleyFest LA, fans experienced the exclusive premiere of the first two episodes from Season 2 of Universal Television's A Man on the Inside, followed by an engaging conversation with the show's creator and stars. Featured talent included Ted Danson ("Charles Nieuwendyk"), Mary Elizabeth Ellis ("Emily"), Lilah Richcreek Estrada ("Julie Kovalenko"), Mary Steenburgen ("Mona Margadoff"), and Michael Schur, the series' creator, executive producer, writer, and director. 

PaleyFest NY 2025: A Man on the Inside

Earlier this year, The Paley Center's 42nd William S. Paley Television Festival spotlighted Hacks, the Emmy-winning comedy-drama about the unlikely bond between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance and aspiring writer Ava Daniels, during a special session at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre. The PaleyFest 2025 event featured a panel with executive producers/creators Lucia Aniello, Jen Statsky, and Paul W. Downs ("Jimmy"), along with cast members Jean Smart "Deborah Vance", Hannah Einbinder "Ava Daniels", Carl Clemmons Hopkins "Marcus", Mark Indelicato "Damien", Megan Stalter "Kayla”" and Rose Abdoo "Josephina", moderated by Variety’s executive editor, Mike Schneider. Universal Television is the studio behind A Man on the Inside and Hacks.
