NBC Sports to Broadcast Milestone 150th Kentucky Derby on NBC and Peacock 

The Kentucky Derby stands as America’s oldest continuously held major sporting event; this year celebrating the 150th anniversary.

Milestone 150th Kentucky Derby on NBC and Peacock

NBC Sports presents coverage of the milestone 150th Kentucky Derby on NBC and Peacock this Saturday, May 4 at 2:30 ET from the iconic Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. NBC Sports’ Derby day coverage features nine races across NBC and Peacock on Saturday. Live coverage from Churchill Downs begins with five hours of Kentucky Oaks day racing this Friday, May 3, beginning at 1 p.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock. Over the two days, NBC Sports will present a total of 15 live races from Churchill Downs. 

Telemundo Deportes will present coverage of the Kentucky Derby, beginning Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET on Universo, and streaming on and the Telemundo app. 

The Kentucky Derby, the first leg of the Triple Crown (along with the Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes), is the most watched and attended race in the world.  

Along with its sibling race, the Kentucky Oaks (live Friday, May 3 from 1-6 p.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock), they are the oldest continuously held major sporting events in America. 

Since 2010, NBC Sports has averaged 15.6 million viewers for the Kentucky Derby across all platforms (excludes 2020 Derby which was held in September).
