Universal Epic Universe

In May 2025, Universal Epic Universe opened in Orlando as the most ambitious and technologically advanced park Comcast NBCUniversal has ever built and the first major U.S. theme park to debut in the last quarter century.

Already, the park has strengthened Universal Orlando Resort’s position as an economic catalyst for the region and beyond. In its first year of operations, Epic Universe helped drive 12 consecutive months of year-over-year growth in Orange County tourism tax revenue.  The park is also expected to have generated $2 billion for the state of Florida and created more than 17,500 jobs nationwide.

Universal Kids Resort

Opening July 1 in Frisco, Texas, Universal Kids Resort is a theme park and resort specifically designed and developed for families with young children. It brings the company’s innovative style of storytelling to a new, younger audience through immersive themed lands, family-friendly attractions, interactive shows and character experiences, and a 300-room themed hotel designed for families to stay and play.

Universal Kids Resort is delivering meaningful economic impact for North Texas through job creation, including 4,100 construction jobs and nearly 1,500 long-term operational roles at opening. In addition, an estimated $9.7 million in property taxes through the first full year and $13 million in sales and use tax revenue will be generated to support the region’s future.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift

This summer, Universal Studios Hollywood will debut its first-ever, high-speed outdoor roller coaster, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift. This innovative attraction will feature groundbreaking 360-degree rotation technology and will join Universal Studios Hollywood’s slate of unprecedented groundbreaking attractions.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is an exciting new addition for visitors and represents continued economic investment and job creation in Southern California.

The attraction generated 2,000 construction jobs and will support 245 operational roles. It is also expected to generate $5.4 million in use tax revenue and $3.7 million in property taxes in its first full year of operation.

Universal School of Experience Leadership and Innovation at the University of Central Florida

UDX values the communities it operates in and continues to invest in partnerships that generate a positive economic impact and promote workforce development.

In May 2026, UDX announced a $10 million investment in the Universal School of Experience Leadership and Innovation at the University of Central Florida. Housed within the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, which is ranked No. 1 globally for hospitality and tourism management programs, the school will help develop future industry leaders, ushering in the next era of themed entertainment.

The new school will help develop the next generation of themed entertainment leaders by advancing research and learning that unites creativity, technology, business, marketing and guest service to meet the evolving workforce needs of the industry.

A Commitment to U.S. Development

As UDX continues to expand, these investments reflect a broader commitment to driving economic growth, creating jobs, and delivering world-class experiences, reinforcing its role as a leader in entertainment and an engine for long-term growth in communities in the United States.
