NBCUniversal To Deliver Historic Fourth of July Programming and Celebrations
Company-wide coverage celebrates Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of the United States through programming, sports, and live events

NBCUniversal will be the destination for the nation’s most iconic events, captivating stories, and beloved American traditions on July 4th. Through cross-platform coverage and a robust slate of live events and specials, NBCUniversal will connect audiences nationwide to share in the excitement and spirit of this historic celebration.
Delivering Monumental July 4th Programming & Celebrations
On July 4th, NBCUniversal will broadcast and stream the 50th Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Show live on NBC, Telemundo, and Peacock, continuing more than 25 years of bringing the nation’s largest Independence Day celebration to audiences across the United States. Hosted by Terry Crews and featuring a star-studded lineup of musical guests, viewers can tune in on NBC and Peacock from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT, with a Spanish language simulcast airing on Telemundo hosted by Telemundo’s Carlos Adyan and Jessica Carrillo. An encore presentation will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
As part of its Independence Day coverage, NBCUniversal News Group will present Sail4th 250’s marquee events in New York Harbor on July 4th, with TODAY co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin leading English-language coverage, and Telemundo’s Carlos Calderón and Lourdes Stephen leading Spanish-language coverage. The live, six-hour presentation will feature the entirety of the International Parade of Sail, including the largest-ever flotilla of tall ships from around the world, and showcase the allied and U.S. naval vessels participating in the International Naval Review and the International Aerial Review’s 100-plus aircraft, led by the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels. Coverage will air across NBC, Telemundo, NBC News NOW, and Peacock.
Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will add to the celebration for guests with special Independence Day entertainment and pyrotechnic displays. Guests can enjoy the festive experiences in Hollywood on July 3rd and 4th, and in Orlando on July 4th.
Additionally, NBC and Telemundo-owned local stations launched Our 250, a 100-day multiplatform campaign commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence. Leading up to July 4th, the stations have been providing extensive news coverage, specials, features and vignettes covering semiquincentennial storylines in local communities across the country.
NBC News will commemorate America’s 250th anniversary with special primetime programming on NBC, NBC News’ streaming channel NBC News NOW, and NBCNews.com. Tom Llamas will anchor a special edition of NBC Nightly News from Philadelphia on July 3rd and from Washington D.C. near the Washington Monument on July 4th, as part of NBC News’ coverage of America’s 250th anniversary.
On Sunday, July 5th, Meet the Press will air a special edition marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. The special will feature conversations with presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin and acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, along with a behind-the-scenes look at the new exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution showcasing iconic artifacts that tell the story of America’s founding.
Additionally, Noticias Telemundo will air special coverage with reports from a team of correspondents at major celebrations across the country. With live reporting and analysis, the special will capture a national celebration reflecting on America’s founding and looking toward its future.
NBC is expanding its Emmy-nominated event series The Americas with a special episode, The Americas: A Wild 250th, celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday through iconic American species that have left an indelible mark on the country. The special will air on July 2 at 9:00p.m. ET/PT on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Telemundo is the exclusive Spanish-language home of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, connecting communities across the United States through more than 700 hours of live coverage of 104 matches across Telemundo, Peacock, the Telemundo app, and Telemundo owned stations. As the tournament unfolds across North America, including a marquee July 4th match in Philadelphia, Telemundo is bringing millions of fans together to celebrate the unifying power of sport.
On Sunday, July 5th, NBC Sports will present a special “Star-Spangled Sunday,” featuring all 30 MLB teams in action across NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN — marking the first time a media company has presented all 15 MLB games nationally in a single day. Coverage will be highlighted by marquee divisional matchups, MVPs and All-Stars, and enhanced viewing options for fans.
Additionally, NBC Sports will present the final two rounds of the U.S. Senior Open Golf Championship on Saturday, July 4th, at 2 p.m. ET and Sunday, July 5th, at 3 p.m. ET, and USA Track & Field in action at the Prefontaine Classic on Saturday, July 4th, at 5 p.m. ET across NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN.
