For decades, NBCUniversal has built some of the world's most passionate fan communities across news, entertainment, sports, and culture. As fandoms continue to grow, the company is bringing audiences closer to the brands, talent, and stories they love through live experiences that extend beyond the screen.

The latest example comes from NBC News’ Meet the Press. The longest-running program on American television will launch Meet the Moment LIVE, its first live event, as a new way to embrace fans passionate about news. Moderator Kristen Welker will host an in-person conversation with Academy Award-nominated actress, producer, and mental health advocate Taraji P. Henson at New York City’s City Winery.

The event marks a new chapter for the nearly 80-year-old franchise, giving audiences the chance to experience the thoughtful conversations that have defined Meet the Press in a live setting for the first time. Since becoming moderator in 2023, Welker has expanded the show’s reach through her signature “Meet the Moment” segment, which explores topics beyond Washington, including public health, mental health, sports, culture, and social change. Her conversations have featured guests including Michael Phelps, Olivia Munn, and Amanda Gorman.

Meet the Moment LIVE is one of the many ways NBCUniversal is turning audience passion into real-world connection, creating new opportunities for fans to engage directly with the personalities and brands they care about.

Connecting with fans on and off-screen

Few events better illustrate the power of fandom than BravoCon. Since launching in 2019, the celebration of all things Bravo has grown into the ultimate reality fan destination, bringing together Bravolebrities, immersive activations, exclusive programming, and iconic moments that celebrate the network’s most beloved franchises.

Building on that success, the newly announced and already sold-out Bravo Fan Fest will create yet another opportunity for audiences to connect with their favorite personalities and franchises in person.

Bravo has also extended its most talked-about franchises beyond the screen through fan viewing events tied to hit series including Vanderpump Rules and Summer House. By giving audiences opportunities to celebrate, react, and connect in real time, these experiences deepen engagement and turn passionate viewers into active communities.

Peacock is the latest to extend a franchise beyond the screen, hosting a nationwide theatrical screening of Love Island USA Season 8's highly anticipated Casa Amor episode in 28 theaters nationwide.

NBC’s TODAY has similarly expanded its relationship with audiences through TODAY Fan Fest, which returns this November with a series of live events and experiences designed to bring viewers together in person. From live conversations and special appearances to food, wellness, and interactive programming, TODAY Fan Fest transforms one of television’s most beloved brands into an in-person celebration of its audience.

NBCUniversal also creates fan-forward events for sports fandoms and live events. Partnering with AMC Theaters, the company brought fans across the country together to watch portions of NBCUniversal’s Olympics coverage of Paris 2024 and Milan Cortina 2026.

Bringing NBCUniversal stories, characters, and events to life through immersive experiences

Universal Destinations & Experiences transforms beloved characters and stories into real-life experiences like Universal Fan Fest Nights, designed to immerse guests in the spellbinding worlds of sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, and anime, at Universal Studios Hollywood. And the global phenomenon of Halloween Horror Nights is now in its 35th year, bringing fan-favorite film, television, and gaming franchises to life through elaborate haunted houses, scare zones, and live entertainment.

Soccer fans have also embraced NBCUniversal’s live-event strategy through Premier League Mornings Live fan fests, which have brought thousands of supporters together across the country for communal matchday experiences featuring NBC Sports talent, live broadcasts, and fan activations.

Whether it’s news, entertainment, sports, or immersive attractions, NBCUniversal continues to create experiences that bring audiences closer to the content, talent, and franchises they care about most.
