Beijing, January 3, 2023 - Universal Beijing Resort will launch the first ever Universal Studios Beijing Annual Pass on January 12, enabling Passholders to unlock a whole year of blockbuster fun and discover a wide range of seasonally themed activities in a cost-effective way. Meanwhile, the popular seasonally themed event- "Universal’s Chinese New Year” will also start from Jan. 12, making it the perfect time for new Passholders to start their exciting journey at Universal. During "Universal’s Chinese New Year”, Universal Beijing Resort will offer unique Chinese New Year experiences to guests through enhanced Chinese New Year vibes, delicious reunion dinners and a wide range of merchandise to provide guests and their loved ones with a memorable new year gathering in the Year of Rabbit.

First Ever Annual Pass to Unlock a Whole Year of Blockbuster Fun

With nearly 90% of guests surveyed expressing a desire to revisit the resort after one year of opening, Universal Beijing Resort has learned that a growing number of guests are revisiting the resort in a more in-depth and immersive way to fully embrace the "Blockbuster Fun", in addition to a typical one-day visit. They are staying at themed rooms, interacting with their favorite stars, enjoying themed meals and purchasing themed merchandise, or even dressing in themed outfits inspired by their favorite characters. To meet the growing demand for multiple visits and high-quality experiences, Universal Beijing Resort continues to perfect its existing product portfolio and, for the first time, is introducing a whole new Annual Pass to provide guests with diverse offerings. Guests will be able to choose from two tiers of products and enjoy exclusive benefits as they kick off their year-round experience at Universal Beijing Resort.

A wide range of seasonal activities in the Blockbuster world with four beautiful seasons. Starting January 12, 2023,guests can purchase Annual Passes at their convenience and make reservations within the year-long validity period to enjoy rides, spectacular entertainment shows, close-up interactions with movie stars and characters. In addition to the typical themed experiences, Annual Passholders will be able to witness the colorful beauty of the four seasons and be the first to see exciting seasonal, themed events at Universal Beijing Resort, enjoying unforgettable high-quality immersive theme park experiences.  

Two types of Universal Studios Beijing Annual Passes to meet the diversified and cost-effective needs of Guests. Universal Studios Beijing Annual Pass - Regular and Universal Studios Beijing Annual Pass - Preferred, priced at RMB 1,688 and RMB 2,288 respectively with 365 days validity period, will officially launch on January 12, 2023, on Universal Beijing Resort Official App, Universal Beijing Resort Alibaba mini program, Universal Beijing Resort WeChat mini program, and Universal Beijing Resort Official Fliggy Flagship Store. Universal Studios Beijing Annual Pass - Regular mainly covers Mondays to Thursdays and selected Fridays and Sundays within the valid time frame, providing no less than 227 permissible days, allowing guests to easily enjoy staggered visits, while students and families can earn great holiday memories during summer and winter vacation. Universal Studios Beijing Annual Pass – Preferred, covers most Mondays to Fridays and part of the weekends within the valid time frame, providing no less than 303 permissible days, making it the ultimate choice for both loyal fans who are looking for a weekend getaway in the blockbuster world and families looking for relaxing time together. The annual pass has a year-long validity period. Guests can purchase at any time with utmost flexibility and value, and will be able to discover more, newer and cooler Universal Beijing Resort experiences. While unleashing their fun, Annual Passholders will also enjoy premium privileges that add to their exciting theme park experiences. All Annual Passholders will be able to enjoy a 5% discount at part of the restaurants in Universal Beijing Studios theme park, a 15% discount at selected Universal Beijing Resort hotel restaurants, and a 10% discount at selected Universal CityWalk Beijing restaurants. "Universal’s Chinese New Year" Is the New Place to Celebrate Chinese New Year in Beijing

As the first popular 2023 seasonal event, from January 12 to February 14, “Universal’s Chinese New Year” of Universal Beijing Resort will present a festive Chinese New Year experience. Chinese New Year themed decorations will be featured throughout the resort, including playful and cute rabbit elements, cheerful lanterns, intriguing Chinese New Year couplets, banners in the style of Chinese papercuts and more. There will also be exclusive Chinese zodiac characters, lion dancing, more limited-time delicacies, and merchandise to provide Annual Passholders and general guests with their first unforgettable holiday memory in the new year. With the launch of Annual Pass on Jan 12, guests can become Passholders right away and enjoy the opportunity to experience a festive Chinese New Year at a great value.

Universal Studios New Year Blessing Show, characters make surprising debut. Bunnies have become the well-deserved protagonists of the Year of Rabbit. Wo Hop, the quirky rabbit character from DreamWork’s Animation Kung Fu Panda series, as the exclusive movie character of the Chinese Zodiac, will take photos with guests at Universal’s New Year Tree of Fortune to give away New Year blessings. In addition, two blessing lions named "Huan” and “Qiu” (Chinese pronunciation of ‘Universal’), "Jixiang Huanhuan" , “Ruyi Qiuqiu", will make surprising debut. "Jixiang Huanhuan" , “Ruyi Qiuqiu" and Wo Hop will join the Universal Studios New Year Blessing Show together with more than ten movie characters and dancers and celebrate the festive Chinese New Year with guests. Festive decorations adorning the resort, bringing feelings of festivity and fun. Five giant, six-meter-high landing lanterns with iconic characters and elements will be located on the plaza at Universal CityWalk Beijing, creating a festive Chinese New Year vibe for guests, especially after they light up at night. At Universal Studios Beijing, Chinese New Year themed Po and rabbit sculptures will welcome guests at the park entrance and rows of red lanterns will glow under the Hollywood Boulevard canopy, offering immersive festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year from the moment guests enter the park. At the end of the road is the much-loved Universal’s New Year Tree of Fortune, symbolizing abundance and good luck for the new year. There will also be nine adorable rabbit statues hidden in the flower beds throughout the park providing guests a fun game of discovery.  

More celebrative New Year dishes and limited-edition accessories to be discovered, perfecting the ultimate Chinese New Year experience. Enjoying delicious feasts is one of the most important customs of Chinese New Year. During Universal’s Chinese New Year, Universal Studios Beijing and the two resort hotels will be presenting elaborate New Year feasts. Hammond's and Sunset Grill in Universal Studios Beijing are ready to offer guests a collection of Chinese-and-Western-inspired dishes, enabling guests to celebrate the New Year ceremonially in the park. Food kiosks will also offer Chinese New Year themed desserts and snacks in the shape of cute bunnies, red firecrackers and lanterns, as well as sticky rice cake and sugar-coated hawthorn candy that remind guests of their childhood.

As the first and last stop of a typical guests’ visit to Universal Beijing Resort, Universal CityWalk Beijing also has festive treats and cuisines for guests. Universal CityWalk - The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen has thoughtfully prepared a Chinese New Year menu with both Chinese and Western dishes.
