Focus Features’ 'Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale' Breaks $100 Million Milestone at Worldwide Box Office

Focus Features’ Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, the highly anticipated cinematic conclusion to the beloved global phenomenon, has officially crossed the $100 million milestone at the worldwide box office, surpassing Downton Abbey: A New Era. Since its theatrical release on September 12, 2025, the film has continued to captivate audiences around the world, grossing more than $104 million globally and reaffirming the enduring appeal of the Crawley family and their devoted staff.

Beloved by fans for more than a decade, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale marks a heartfelt farewell to one of the most celebrated ensembles in modern British storytelling. Directed by Simon Curtis and written by the series’ creator Julian Fellowes, the film has been praised by critics and audiences alike for its wit, warmth, and emotional resonance. Over the course of the franchise, the Downton Abbey films have earned more than $389 million dollars at the global box office. 

Beginning November 7, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will stream exclusively on Peacock, where fans revisited the Emmy Award-winning series and previous films in record numbers prior to and during the release of the final installment. This past September was the highest usage month on Peacock for Downton Abbey content since July 2022.

In addition to the success of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale on a global stage, Focus Features has celebrated a collection of auteur-driven works this fall including the recently released Bugonia, from Yorgos Lanthimos starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons; and coming soon to theaters, Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet, based on the New York Times bestselling novel and starring Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley; and Song Sung Blue, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson.
