Obsession has surpassed $200 million at the global box office, becoming the highest grossing film in Focus Features history.

The milestone follows another standout weekend for the film, which grossed $25.6 million domestically in its fourth frame, declining just 7% from the previous weekend. The result marks the best fourth-weekend hold ever for a horror film, as well as the highest fourth-weekend gross in the genre's history. The previous record holder for both metrics was The Blair Witch Project, which fell 9% in its fourth weekend in 1999 and earned $24.2 million.

Earlier in its run, Obsession became the first film since Steven Spielberg's Universal Pictures classic E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial in 1982 to increase in both its second and third weekends of release.

With more than $220 million worldwide, Obsession continues to set new benchmarks both domestically and internationally, becoming the highest grossing release in Focus Features history and one of the year's top-performing films globally.
