NBCUniversal TV & Streaming Dominate Thanksgiving Weekend With Reach of Nearly 121 Million

Over the four-day holiday weekend, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming had an extraordinary reach of nearly 121 million.
The 120.7 million reach is a prime example of the wide breadth of programming offered by the company in all platforms. All programs were either simulcast on Peacock or aired the next day.
Highlights of the weekend include:

World Cup (Nov. 24-27; Telemundo)

  • Up 24% vs. 2018 World Cup
  • Top games – Argentina vs. Mexico, Brazil vs. Serbia, England vs. USA
  • 16.3 million viewers

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (Nov. 24; NBC) 

  • Highest entertainment telecast in both the 18-49 and total viewers for the 2022-23 season 
  • Peacock’s most popular entertainment simulstream event ever
  • 27.0 million viewers

National Dog Show by Purina (Nov. 24; NBC) 

  • #2 highest entertainment telecast in both the 18-49 and total viewers for the 2022-23 season
  • 11.0 million viewers

New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings (Nov. 24; NBC) 

  • The second most-watched primetime Thanksgiving game on record and +24% vs. last year’s Thanksgiving game
  • 26.0 million viewers

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (Nov. 24; NBC) 

  • Highest “Tonight Show” in three years in both 18-49 and total viewers
  • 3.4 million viewers

Late Night with Seth Meyers (Nov. 24; NBC) 

  • Best in total viewers in three years
  • 1.7 million viewers
