Here Are All the Details for the Highly Anticipated 2022 "Latin American Music Awards” Which Will Broadcast Live on Telemundo Next Thursday, April 21 at 7PM/6C

The highly anticipated "Latin American Music Awards" 2022 are almost here, and fans will be able to enjoy spectacular performances by today’s biggest artists. Under the theme of "La Música Nos Une" (Music brings us together) and with a star-studded message of solidarity for Ukraine that will include the participation of Ukrainian singer, TV host and actress, NK (Nastya Kamenskykh), the star-studded show will be loaded with exciting performances and musical collaborations. The awards ceremony, which will be hosted by international actors: Rafael Amaya, Jacqueline Bracamontes, and Cristián de la Fuente, will kick off with the glamorous arrival of the stars on the red carpet, followed by the awards ceremony, where iconic Mexican singer Lupita D'Alessio will be honored with the Legend Award and regional music sensation Christian Nodal will be presented with the Extraordinary Evolution Award.

  • La Alfombra de los Latin AMAsand the “Latin American Music Awards show will broadcast live on Telemundo, Universo, and on the Telemundo App.
  • The musical special will also stream live on Peacock and broadcast simultaneously throughout the Americas on Telemundo Internacional.

MUSICAL HIGHLIGHTS:

Latin music stars selected the “Latin American Music Awards” stage to unveil television premieres, worldwide debuts, and never-before-seen collaborations in 18 electrifying and impactful musical performances:

  1. Black Eyed Peas will open the show with a bilingual rendition of their song "Where is the Love" created especially for this show, which will bring together nearly every artist in attendance for an emotional demonstration of solidarity with Ukraine and highlight the show's motto: "Music Unites Us" despite barriers of distance, language, or borders. The exciting musical performance will also include the participation of Ukrainian pop and R&B singer, NK, currently the most popular singer in the Russian-speaking world and who has helped to boost the popularity of Latin music in Eastern Europe.

2.    Mexico's Calibre 50, arrives to the awards stage with a new vocalist for the television premiere of their new song "Míranos Ahora."

3.    Puerto Rican superstar Ozuna will perform "Deprimida" and the television premiere of "Apretadito," the recently released song in which he will be joined by Panamanian sensation Boza.

4.    Regional Mexican artist Gerardo Ortiz will perform the television premiere of "Tranquilito."

5.    Los Angeles Azules will be performing the worldwide premiere of "Esa Parte de Mi," which they will sing with Mexican artist Sofia Reyes and Colombian singer Esteman, followed by the television premiere of "Otra noche," featuring Argentinian reggaeton artist Nicki Nicole.

6.    Mexican superstar Gloria Trevi will perform the television premiere of "La Recaída," her latest hit in which she dabbles in flamenco.

7.    For the first time on television, Prince Royce will perform his sensual bachata "Te Espero" with Argentina's María Becerra.

8.    Puerto Rican star Luis Fonsi will present the television premiere of his new song "Dolce”.

9.    Chiquis will perform the TV premiere of Daniela Romo's hit song "Quiero Amanecer con Alguien."

10.  CNCO, which just released their new song "La Equivocada" on April 7, have chosen the “Latin AMAs” stage to perform it for the first time on television.

11. Renowned Mexican singer Lupita D'Alessio, who will receive the Legend Award from José Luis Rodríguez "El Puma," will offer a medley of her greatest hits "Lo Siento mi Amor," "Ese Hombre," "Que Ganas de no Verte Más," "Acaríciame," "Mudanzas," and "Mentiras."

12.  Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Jhay Cortez will perform a medley of his hit "Dákiti" and will also perform the television premiere of his new song "Sensual Bebé."

13.  New regional Mexican star, Christian Nodal, who will be honored with the Extraordinary Evolution Award, will embark on a journey through his musical career with the songs "Probablemente," "Adiós Amor," "De los Besos Que Te Di," "Ya No Somos Ni Seremos," and will then be joined by Gera Mx for the performance of "Botella Tras Botella,"

14.  The Urban genre will be transported from Puerto Rico to the Argentine Pampas, to introduce the new Argentine urban pop sound, with the musical hit "Entre nosotros" by Tiago PZK, Lit Killah, María Becerra and Nicki Nicole.

15. Mexican brother and sister duo Jesse & Joy will perform the television premiere of their new song "Respirar," created in collaboration with international composers.

16.  Colombian singer Goyo will perform a version of her hit song "Otra Noche."

17.  Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Farruko, who most recently caused controversy for asking for forgiveness with his songs, will perform "My Lova.”

18.  Mexican group Reik and Argentina's María Becerra will perform the song nominated for Favorite Video: "Los tragos."

NOMINEES

Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny tops the list of nominees with ten mentions, followed by Jhay Cortez, who received eight, while Colombian artists J Balvin and Karol G, and Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro, each received seven nominations.
