Meet the NBCUniversal Employees Putting on the Biggest Show in Sports
Legendary February is in full swing — from the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics to Super Bowl LX and NBA All-Star Weekend. And behind every moment on screen are the employees across NBCUniversal who make these live events possible.
February 13, 2026
Legendary February by the numbers is as impressive as it is exciting, but the numbers behind the scenes are even more eye-opening. Thousands of employees are supporting success from the U.S. and around the world. This includes 1,600 colleagues working out of our state-of-the-art production hub in Stamford, CT.
What's it like to help put on the biggest show in sports? Come along to Milan, Stamford, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to hear from a few NBCUniversal employees who are working to deliver a seamless experience for our viewers, partners, and people.
Jennings Crupi – Senior Production Operations Manager, NBC Sports
Imagine thousands of your colleagues and crew members traveling to Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, San Francisco, and Los Angeles within a 17-day span. Now imagine that it's your job to ensure they all get where they're going, and you'll glimpse a day in the life of Jennings' Legendary February. All of that and she finds time to unwind with a book at the end of the day.
Darryl Jefferson – SVP, Engineering, NBC Sports
Darryl's working his tenth Olympics as he oversees all technical aspects of the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Games from the NBC Sports ops center in Milan's International Broadcast Center. He also oversees the teams supporting field engineering for Super Bowl LX and the NBA All-Star Game. No sweat. If he could do anything different? He'd get better video of Usain Bolt winning gold for his Jamaican-born mother (he was jumping up and down too hard).
Justine Mallardi – SVP, Sports Planning, NBC Sports and Olympics
Bonnie Fallon – VP, Ad Sales Trade Marketing
Justine and Bonnie and their teams have been working towards Legendary February since the end of Paris 2024. Putting together go-to-market materials for the sales team, planning and executing all media running through Milan, the Super Bowl and the All-Star Game, plus hitting the ice to cheer on the US Men's Hockey Team? All in a day's (or two years') work!
Yarilys Domenech – VP, Telemundo News Services
Covering the Olympics with Telemundo Local allows Yarilys and her team to tell the story of the Games through multiple lenses, spotlighting Team USA alongside athletes and teams representing the home countries of our Hispanic audiences. As lead coordinator for 13 crews, she and her colleagues have spent more than two years preparing to cover the Games in Italy. Her caffeine of choice? "A good cappuccino!"
Brendan Yorke - SVP, NBC Sports Sales
Fueled by strong marketplace demand and NBCU's ability to sell seamlessly across its sports portfolio, this year’s Super Bowl ad sales cycle was unlike any other. "It was on fire from day one," says Brendan, who has helped lead the Super Bowl ad sales process over the past two years. Even with inventory sold out – including several Super Bowl LX spots topping $10 million – advertisers were still lining up just days before kickoff to get in on the action.
Elinore "Ellie" Wright – Feature Producer, NBC Sports
It's Super Bowl Sunday as Ellie and her team get ready to cover the biggest football game of their lives, then pivot to Milan Cortina. What keeps them going through long shifts? Lots of caffeine, of course, but more importantly, the people. "You can really only do that when you're excited about the people you come to work with."
Daphne West – Coordinator, Corporate Events
Daphne and the Events team spent months gearing up for Legendary February across the Winter Olympics, the Super Bowl, and NBA All-Star. Over the course of three weeks in Milan, they planned and executed large-scale culinary adventures, historic tours of iconic landmarks, curated shopping and art experiences, and day trips to the vineyards of Piedmont – organizing la dolce vita takes a lot of work!
Jack Silberman – Senior Product Designer, Peacock Content Experience Team
Jen Hughes – VP, Human Resources, NBC Sports
Terri Leopold – VP, Administration, NBC Sports
Nothing keeps Stamford – home to NBC Sports and our Legendary February production hub – buzzing like a steady stream of food, fun, and Legendary-themed employee activations (yes, including igloos for outdoor seating). Terri and Jen are two of the many people who help create an exceptional experience for colleagues working around the clock on site – during Legendary February and all year long.
Matt Farina – SVP, Platform Distribution & Partnerships Operations
Think the Seattle Seahawks defense was impressive? Try distributing a 4K broadcast of TV’s biggest night while also covering the Olympics from overseas. On Feb. 8, Matt Farina and team ensured delivery of NBC's 4K coverage of Super Bowl LX and the Winter Olympics to distribution partners across the country, including Xfinity, Spectrum, DirecTV, YouTube TV, Optimum, and more.
Mike McCormack – SVP, NBC Sports Sales
"It's been nearly three years since we started talking about February of '26," Mike says. "Now here we are." A jack of all trades, Mike is supporting all three tentpoles: the Olympics, Super Bowl LX, and the NBA All-Star. If it felt a bit lonely planning Legendary February way back three years ago, it isn't lonely now: seeing so many people from across the company pull together in this effort is a big part of the fun.
