Liz Jenkins

Chief Business Officer, NBCUniversal Entertainment

Liz Jenkins is the Chief Business Officer of NBCUniversal Entertainment, where she oversees content­ strategy, television acquisitions and business operations across the company’s entertainment divisions. In this role, she drives long‑range planning, identi­­fies new growth opportunities­­ and helps guide greenlight processes. Jenkins leads business strategy for NBCUniversal’s unified content hub, which brings together Universal Film (Universal Pictures, Focus Features, DreamWorks Animation) and Universal Television Entertainment (Bravo, NBC, Peacock, Universal Studio Group). Her work supports a portfolio that includes such acclaimed films and series as Wicked, Jurassic World Rebirth, How to Train Your Dragon, Hacks, St. Denis Medical, The Day of the Jackal, The Americas and more.

Prior to assuming her expanded remit, Jenkins was Chief Business Officer of NBCUniversal Studio Group, leading strategy and operations across the company’s film and television studios. Before joining NBCUniversal’s executive ranks, she was Chief Operating Officer at Reese Witherspoon’s multimedia company, Hello Sunshine. During her tenure, she oversaw finance, business affairs, operations, physical production and music while facilitating the growth of the company’s content and direct-to-consumer businesses, which put women and girls at the center of the narrative. She led the acquisitions of SKR Productions and the home-organization and lifestyle brand The Home Edit, as well as the 2021 sale of Hello Sunshine to Candle Media and the subsequent integration efforts.    

Previously, Jenkins served as Head of Strategic Ventures at Sony PlayStation and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Media Rights Capital, where she developed and implemented innovative distribution models, strategic partnerships and new businesses across film and television. She began her career at GE, McKinsey and Credit Suisse. 

With a passion for philanthropy, Jenkins sits on the Executive Committee of Baby2Baby. She also chairs the Audit Committee of Snap Inc. Jenkins received her M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A. from Stanford University. She is based in Los Angeles.
