Christopher Halpin
Chief Financial Officer
Christopher Halpin is Chief Financial Officer of NBCUniversal. In this role, Halpin oversees NBCUniversal’s global finance, strategy and M&A organizations across the Media, News, Studios, and Universal Destinations & Experiences divisions.
Before joining NBCUniversal, Halpin was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of IAC, Inc. (now know as People Incorporated), where he oversaw the company’s corporate finance, accounting, M&A, investor relations and administration functions while also leading strategy and the day-to-day function and execution of IAC’s businesses.
Prior to IAC, Halpin spent nearly a decade in senior leadership roles at the National Football League (NFL), most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy & Growth Officer. In this role, he oversaw all strategic growth and development opportunities, including the NFL’s International expansion, long-range planning, data and analytics, legalized sports betting strategies, and ownership transactions. Before joining the NFL, Halpin was a Partner and Managing Director at Providence Equity Partners, where he led transactions across the firm’s media, entertainment and technology investments. Halpin began his career in the Merchant Banking Department of Goldman Sachs & Co.
Halpin is a graduate of Princeton University with an A.B. in Economics (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude) and is a board member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), the Children’s Scholarship Fund, Deerfield Academy and the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholarship Fund.
