The More You Know is All-New in 2018

February 09, 2018

The More You Know is back at it! NBCUniversal’s Emmy-award winning public service announcement (PSA) campaign returns for its 29th season. Ever since NBC News’ Tom Brokaw first responded to the teachers-shortage in the late 1980’s with an educational PSA, NBC has since become a trusted voice for providing useful knowledge.

The More You Know has become a staple in living rooms around the country. Every year, the campaign presents pressing social issues in a simple and digestible format around a range of core pillars. This season’s pillars focus on Community, Diversity, Education, Health, Digital Literacy and Safety, and Environment.

The multi-platform campaign includes talent from across NBC’s wide array of networks. The class of 2018 includes Lester Holt (NBC Nightly News), Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives), Susan Kelechi Watson (This Is Us), Savannah Guthrie (TODAY), Malcolm Barrett (Timeless), Don Francisco (Telemundo) and many more speaking to social issues broken down into, short and easy to follow practical tips on improving our lives and our communities.

Also, special this year, a The More You Know Bitmoji will launch in tandem with the new season. Viewers can revel in The More You Know nostalgia by affixing the old-school, iconic shooting star image to their personal avatar as they enlighten their contacts. Available on March 5th, 2018 in Snapchat and the Bitmoji app.
