NEW YORK – June 13, 2017–NBCUniversal was recognized at the annual PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing and Design global Excellence Awards on Thursday, June 8, 2017 with 64 awards from the North America and International areas of business. Each year, the PromaxBDA Global Excellence Awards sets the standard for the worldwide media marketing industry for media networks and agencies.
NBCUniversal’s vast portfolio of news, sports and entertainment networks including Bravo, CNBC, E!, NBC Entertainment, NBC Sports Group, SYFY, USA Network, The Weather Channel, NBCUniversal International Networks, Telemundo Internacional and Telemundo Network were recognized across a variety of marketing and design areas and earned a total of 64 awards including 23 gold, 22 silver, and 18 bronze awards.
The NBCUniversal network hit programs including NBC’s “This Is Us,” “The Voice,” “The Wall,” “Hairspray Live,” “Spartan Ultimate Team Challenge,” USA Network’s “Mr. Robot,” SYFY’s “The Magicians,” and Telemundo’s “El Chema” won awards in categories including social media, mobile, live and external promo campaigns and the NBC Sports Group won for the set design of the 2016 Rio Olympics. The SNL App was also recognized in the digital marketing space as was Bravo’s logo redesign and E!’s “Be Pop Cultured” rebrand campaign.
NBCUniversal was also recognized for its Advertising Sales Client website “Together” and for its 2016 Advertising Upfront campaign sizzle reel. NBCUniversal created three advertising sales campaigns for its clients that were recognized in the Branded Content Promotion category for NBC Sports and Discover’s “Day with the Cup” partnership for the NHL, the Brand Integration Campaign category for the Chrysler Pacifica and Secret Life of Pets, and Brand Integration Promo for “Mazda: Drive for Good.”
