Comcast NBCUniversal celebrated the 15th anniversary of Comcast Cares Day on Saturday, April 30 with more than 107,000 volunteers working at project sites around the globe. Across the United States and in more than 20 other countries, Comcast NBCUniversal employees, family, and friends worked closely with nonprofit community organizations to support local communities.
Volunteers beautified under-resourced schools by painting colorful murals and inspirational banners, and revitalized playgrounds by building picnic tables, planters, and chess tables. They supported a local Boys and Girls Club STEM competition and provided pro-bono services to unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children. Other projects included revitalizing neighborhood parks, assembling homeless care kits, mentoring high school students, and packing meals for children.
Through more than 900 service projects, Comcast NBCUniversal employees made change happen.
