Green is Universal Launches Annual #GIFtATree Campaign
December 02, 2015
Every December since 2009, Green is Universal has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation for a holiday campaign that encourages people to help plant trees through social media actions.
This year, Green is Universal invites viewers to #GIFtATree to the environment. People can go to GreenIsUniversal.com to create and share an animated tree GIF, or use #GIFtATree on social media. For each of these actions, Green is Universal and the Arbor Day Foundation will plant one tree, up to 25,000, in a state park or national forest.
The Arbor Day Foundation plants nearly 5 million trees each year in state and national forests that are in the greatest need of help. Many of the forests highlighted in the #GIFtATree experience have been devastated by wildfires and are in need of replanting.
#GIFtATree kicks off on December 2 and runs through December 31.
